2016 Family Reunion

CANCELLATION NOTICE

Hello Family,

It is with disappointment that I announce that the 2016 Reed & Puryear Family Reunion, scheduled for the weekend of July 29 in Houston, TX, has been cancelled. The low response, as well as many family members' inability to attend, was a great indicator that our attendance was likely going to fall beneath the attendance number that is required by the Marriott Hotel. This would have created a financial shortfall; therefore, the committee felt that the sound and safe thing to do is to cancel the reunion. We know that this is also a great disappointment to the family members who were planning to attend. However, in the meantime, the idea of having an one-day event this summer in the Memphis area is being considered. Many of us are anxious to see our family members again, and this special event will allow it to happen. If we are able to work out the details, we will notify the family soon about the new plans. We are a great family with a great legacy and a history of togetherness and love. This cancellation will not drown that great aspect of our family.
